Red, White and Blue of Puncak Jaya

Turkam (outreach campaign) of the Governor of Papua for RESPEK program evaluation in 2010 in Puncak Jaya district the same day with a celebration planned three-year leadership of Regent and Vice Regent of Puncak Jaya, falls on June 28, 2010.

But the core what i’d like to point this time is not about the results of the visit and Respek program evaluation by the Governor who was represented by Vice Governor Mr Alex Hesegem and celebrations of three years of leadership of Regent and Vice Regent of Puncak Jaya, but the uniqueness of Puncak Jaya in preparation for the anniversary and welcomed the visit of the Governor .

Here’s the story:

The day was Friday June 22, I went from an office in Kota Baru (New Town) to the health center to coordinate the activities of cultural workshops that we had planned together. Arriving at the health center, I found that activity in health services has been completed (probably because it’s Friday), then the service is completed faster than usual (and also because only a few patients who come to visit).

It was 10 am and was still too early to leave home, therefore health staffs and doctors who work at the clinic perform voluntary work by painting the porch, railing porch and health centers. Because I arrived while they were still working, I helped them painting.

Suddenly, the question arises in my mind when I look back and find that during my trip down from New Town to the health center, indirectly, I saw almost all the houses, courtyard houses, bridges, shops and market, were all painted with only three colors; Red, White and Blue.

i then asked the Doctor, Huda his name, why all the houses and fences were painted red, white, and blue? Brief premises Doctor says: ‘it’s the co

lor the Democratic party’.

True … It turns out the color of the Democratic party. Crazy ….!

In fact the government handing out red and white paint and blue for free to offices, housing residents, market, churches just to decorate them with the color of a Democratic victory!

Tried to democratize the Puncak Jaya Mr. Regent ??????

Hmmmm … what a pity… I don’t feel the TOUCH…:-)
